“Is there magic in this world? Certainly! But it is not the kind of magic written about in fantasy stories.

It is the kind of magic that comes from ideas and the hard work it often takes to make them real.” ― Robert Fanney

FAQs

Q: How did you come up with the sale price?

A: The Van itself costs $65,000.00. The product came to approximately $40,000.00. There were a few companies I received services from which came to around $6,000.00. I have not included my rental garage costs, travel costs or specific other overhead costs. I have to pay taxes at the end of the sale as a 1099 and then there is Labor/expertise cost. It took approximately 1500 hrs. to outfit this specific build.

I think $175,000.00 is more than reasonable considering the market value of comparable builds. I also have over 10 years’ experience Van building alongside of other licensed professionals. I myself am a general contractor who comes from a family lineage of contractors.

I am more than happy to explain every step and product utilized.

———————

Q: Can I modify the van?

A: Yes, to an extent. I can upgrade certain areas as long as we discuss the limitations. I want this to feel like YOUR home.
———————-

Q: What is your previous experience with Van building?

A: I have built 8 vans over 10 years. I have lived in 5 and use my experiences to build a warm, functional home. I have a small team I work with as well in case questions arise. I have been doing woodwork for over 20 years and I am currently a general contractor handman in New Jersey.
———————-

Q: Do I finance and is the price negotiable?

A: Yes and No. The buyer must have their own methods of payment. I am willing to take the steps along with you. As for the negotiations, I am flexible, but please be reasonable. I spent over 1500 hours building this one-of-a-kind piece of art. I put everything I have into each individual build and my profit margins are slim. I do what I can to keep “mom & pop shops” alive, so I appreciate the support :)
———————

Q: Are you willing to discuss how the van was built in fine detail?

A: Absolutely! I am an open book when it comes to how I built it, what materials I use and why and the methods I have used. I also documented a good amount of the journey if the purchaser would like to see. Please, do not contact me to ask how vans are built if you are not intending on buying my product. I do consulting if that is of interest to you.

———————

Q: Can the Van be delivered?

A: Yes. Either I can have it shipped or I will drive it to you for a fee. You are more than welcome to drive to me as well. Once we connect, we can handle the transactions/paperwork in person.

———————-

Q: If the Van New or Used?

A: I purchased the Van with only 800 miles on it from a dealership. I had to use the Van itself to get product as well as lived in it for 2 weeks to make sure it’s running smooth. I had to travel quite a few times to Home Depot, Pennsylvania as well as Delaware. I will make sure it is up to date and sound mechanically, with receipts from your choice of Auto shop. I will also have it detailed inside and out.

———————-

Q: If there a video tour of the build?

A: Yes, as well as my previous build. Here is the link to both.
